  3. ICYMI: New York State has canceled the U.S. History Regents exam due to the recent Buffalo mass shooting. NY officials were concerned a question on the exam had the potential to trigger student's trauma in regard to the recent shooting. The exam was created two years ago. "In the wake of the Buffalo tragedy, it is not appropriate to administer the exam with a question that could compound the grief and hardship faced by our school communities," said Emily DeSantis, spokesperson for the department.
