🌱 Sachem Daily: Sachem Hacking Lawsuit Dropped + Job Openings

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

(Patch Media)

Morning, Sachem! Let's get this Tuesday started off right. Here's everything worth knowing in town today.

First, today's weather:

Clearing and breezy. High: 53 low: 41.

Here are the top 3 stories in Sachem today:

  1. Federal judge dismisses student's hacking lawsuit against Sachem Schools. The lawsuit was brought about by Matthew Colicchi's mother when she claimed he was forced to do unpaid work at the school after he got caught hacking into their computer system and stealing thousands of student records and posting them online. He was charged for trespassing in 2013 and the mother's lawsuit was filed shortly after. "In the lawsuit filings, the lawyers for the defendants claimed that "the record is 'devoid of evidence supporting Matthew's claims that he was forced to work for the District without his parents' permission and ordered not to tell his parents."(Sachem Patch)
  2. Pets available for adoption at local shelters. Take a look at these adorable animals up for adoption at Sachem area shelters. Meet Maggie, Raspberry & more this week. If you see a potential pet that catches your eye, click on their picture to learn more about them and consider adopting today. (Sachem Patch)
