- ICYMI: Former LI U.S. Marine planned attack on synagogue and other heinous crimes. Matthew Belanger, 25, a former resident of Selden, was arrested on June 10 in New York. "Prosecutors say that Belanger, while still a Marine, trained with airsoft guns in the woods of Long Island as part of a plot to attack the 'Zionist Order of Governments' and he was the subject of a probe by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Taskforce for plotting to 'engage in widespread homicide and sexual assault,' according to a court memo obtained by Rolling Stone."
