🌱 Sachem Daily: Suffolk County Websites Still Down + Local Jobs

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

(Patch Media)

Hello all. It's me, Andrew Tessler, your host of the Sachem Daily — here to tell you everything you need to know about what's happening in the community today. Let's have at it.

First, today's weather:

Humid with a thunderstorm. High: 82 low: 61.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Sachem:

  1. Suffolk County's websites still down Monday as ransomware attack may be the cause. The county's web and email services have been down since Thursday and several agencies are keeping records manually. Officials are investigating the attacks and have made adjustments to keep operations running smoothly. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Pets available for adoption at local shelters. Take a look at these adorable animals up for adoption at Sachem area shelters. Meet Chuck, Chandler and more this week. If you see a potential pet that catches your eye, click on their picture to learn more about them and consider adopting today. (Sachem Patch)
  3. Check out who's hiring this week in the Sachem area. In our weekly collaboration with ZipRecruiter, you can check out all the companies hiring locally in and around town. If you see a job that interests you, click on it for more information and apply (Sachem Patch)

Today in Sachem:

From my notebook:

  • Sachem Central School District: Sachem students and staff honor the lives of those lost on 9/11. Check out photos in the link from the commemorations the school held. (Facebook)
