Last week, the Sagamore and Samoset Middle School boys lacrosse teams faced off against each other in a cross-town game.
Sagamore jumped out to a quick lead, scoring several goals putting Samoset into a bit of a hole.
In true Sachem form, Samoset buckled down and mounted a comeback only to fall short in the final minutes of the game giving a strong looking Sagamore team a 10-9 win for the season's first contest.
