Long Island's Serial Knifepoint Robber Strikes Again
A man who has terrorized Long Island businesses for months is believed to have struck again Tuesday night.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY – A serial knifepoint robber has apparently struck again. A Subway restaurant in Suffolk County was robbed Tuesday night and police say it "appears to be linked" to 14 other robberies across Long Island in recent months.
According to Suffolk Police, a man entered the Subway located at 600 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma around 8:30 p.m., displayed a knife and demanded cash. An employee complied with the man's demands and he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A major search involving a police helicopter was underway for the man in the Ronkonkoma/Holbrook area Tuesday night.

The serial robber has now struck 11 businesses in Nassau County and five in Suffolk since Feb. 15.
