Snows days are great. Build snowmen, make snow angels, go sledding, or even ride your quads. But please remember to play safely! The snow limits visibility. When the plows come through and leave behind tall snow banks, it's hard to see around them. The snow also limits drivers' ability to stop in an emergency.
This afternoon, I watched two quad riders zip onto Faculty Lane from Iris Avenue. There's a stop sign on that corner. Neither rider obeyed that stop sign and from my vantage point, neither rider even looked to their left before they darted onto that road. Luckily, no cars were coming.
Have fun but please do so safely.
