LI Man Charged In Shooting Of Man Found Dead In Woods: Suffolk DA
Justin Lee, 34, was found "half-naked and frozen solid" near a home owned by the mother of murder suspect Glenn Seejattan, prosecutors say.
CENTEREACH, NY — A Long Island man has been charged in the slaying of a man, who was found shot in the head, half-naked and frozen solid in a wooded area, near a home owned by his mother, Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney said Wednesday.
Justin Lee, a 34-year-old Centereach resident who suffered from schizophrenia, left his home on Jan. 18 and his half-naked body that was "frozen solid" was found on Jan. 28, about a half a mile away from a Rocky Point home owned by the mother of 29-year-old Glenn Seejattan and where he was last seen alive, said Tierney citing prosecutors' documents.
Police initially said Lee's body was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where the cause of his death was to be determined and no futher details were released.

The autopsy "later revealed" that Lee "had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and a gunshot wound to his thigh," Tierney's office said.
Seejattan, whose last known address is the home owned by his mother, allegedly murdered Lee while free on bail following an indictment where he is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

“This is a brutal and cold-hearted execution in which the victim’s lifeless body was found dumped outside in the cold 10 days after he was reported missing by those who cared for him,” Tierney said. “The defendant is now in custody and we will seek justice for this senseless tragedy.”
Seejattan's defense attorney, Scott Gross, told Newsday that he works in an auto body shop and has four young children, but declined to discuss any relationship that he had with Lee.
"The case as it’s been presented to us seems very weak at the moment. We’ll obviously challenge the evidence they presented in court," he told the outlet.
The discovery of Lee's body was the second time that someone was found dead on the north shore since October. The body of Melissa Molinari, a mom from Centereach, was found wrapped in plastic in the Rocky Point Barrens State Forest in Middle Island on Dec. 9.
Seejattan has been charged with one count of second-degree murder, which carries a sentence of up to 25 years to life in prison upon conviction.
Suffolk District Court Judge Jonathan Bloom ordered Seejattan held without bail, according to Tierney's office. He is due back in court on March 25, Tierney's office said.
