SYSL U12 Boys Destroy All Competitors to Win LI Cup Title

The Sachem Destroyers (Boys U12 Major) won the Long Island Cup championship on June 15 at Stony Brook beating Lake Grove/Newfield United, 2-0, in the title game.

Sachem finished off the season with a very strong effort against a tough Lake Grove squad, scoring both goals in the second half.

First, Joseph “Chief” Scally scored on a penalty kick to give the Destroyers a 1-0 lead. Joseph “Scooter” Karnich” finished off the scoring with a beautiful breakaway goal to clinch the game – and the championship – for Sachem.
