Three Sachem Lacrosse Players Make Verbal Commitments
Sachem North students will take their talents to the collegiate level next fall.

Three varsity Lacrosse players for the Sachem North Flaming Arrows have committed to their respective colleges, according to Jason Mauro, North's Lacrosse head coach.
Seniors Dylan Ciolino and Nick Castorf have both committed to play at Division 2 Walsh University in Canton, Ohio, while senior James Rath has committed to Western New England in Springfield, Mass.
Ciolino, who graduates from Sachem North in 2013 is a goaltender for the Arrows, a solid athlete and scholar.

"Dylan is a hard worker," Mauro stated in an email. "He is a great communicator and we look forward to him being a leader on and off the field."
Castorf, a senior attackman, will join Ciolino at Walsh, and both will play under the guidance of Sachum Alum Jason Fautus.

"Nick has improved each year within the program," Mauro stated. "We hope Nick continues to improve this year and beyond when he gets to college."
James Rath is a defensemen entering into his final year at North. He'll be joining a Western New England Golden Bears team that put up a 13-5 overall record last season, captured the Commonwealth Coast Conference championship and advanced to the second round of the Division III NCAA tournament.
"James is a great kid with great grades," Mauro said of Rath. "He works hard in and out of the classroom. James has improved and we are excited about his contribution in the spring."
All three players will be reminded of some Hall-of-Fame athletes. Rath's Western New England is located in the home of the NBA Hall of Fame; Castorf and Ciolino will play in the shadow of the NFL Hall.
