Vandals Cause Extensive Damage at Sachem Youth Soccer League Complex

The vandalism occurred on Halloween night. A fundraiser has been started to help fund repairs.

Police are searching for vandals who caused extensive damage to the Sachem Youth Soccer League complex in Holtsville on Halloween night.

According to the league, two light towers, porta potties, a picnic area and goals were damaged at the complex, which is located just north of the Long Island Expressway behind Waverly Avenue Elementary School.

The cost of the damage is estimated to be around $24,000.

The Sachem Youth Soccer League was founded in 1977 and currently serves 1,500 kids from the Sachem community.
