Victor Canales: Why You Should Elect Me to the Sachem School Board

My name is Victor J. Canales and I am seeking election to the Sachem School Board.  I believe that the foundation of the community is the education of our youth.  As a board member I will make sure our tax dollars are invested wisely and that every child has the opportunity to maximize their potential.

I was raised in the Sachem School District and graduated from Sachem North in 1993.  My Sachem education provided me with the background necessary to achieve my dreams.  Today, I am the Chief Operating Officer of the JVC Broadcasting Corporation.  Along with a staff of over 100 employees, I oversee the daily operations of nine radio stations and the Pennysaver amphitheater.  I chose to reside here in the Sachem community with my family so my five children have the same opportunities I have been afforded with.

My business experience has taught me that every dollar and decision count.  As a member of the Sachem community, I have come to understand the positive impact Sachem has on the daily lives of our families, as well as the challenges the district currently faces. As a board member, I will use these experiences to ensure that our children are provided with the platform necessary to help them achieve their dreams.
