14-Year-Old Struck, Killed By LIRR Train

BAYPORT, NY —A 14-year-old died after he was struck by a Long Island Rail Road train early Monday in Bayport, authorities said.

The ninth-grader at Bayport-Blue Point High School is believed to have been struck by a train in the middle of the night. His body was discovered at 7:30 a.m. just off the railroad tracks between the Bayport and Sayville stations. He was found with earbuds in his ears, officials said.
