6 Bayport-Blue Point Students To Play In Division I and II Sports

Six Bayport-Blue Point High School students committed to play their sport for Division I and II colleges and universities.

BAYPORT, NY —Six Bayport-Blue Point High School students will officially be college athletes in the fall.

The Bayport-Blue Point School District announced Monday that the student-athletes signed national letters of intent last week to continue playing their sport at Division I and II colleges or universities next fall.

The student athletes include:
 Skyler Fig – lacrosse – Long Island University
 Gavin LoCascio – lacrosse – University of Massachusetts
 Kate McGuire – softball – Fordham University
 Tessa Orgonas – lacrosse – Long Island University
 Matthew Nilas – lacrosse – Towson University
 Jameson Smith – lacrosse – Johns Hopkins University
