Academy Street Elementary Helps Raise $8,500 For Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Academy Street Elementary School staff members joined team ‘Friends of Carly’ and participated in Cycle for Survival this February.

During the indoor cycle event the team rode in memory of Carly LeStrange, a former student of Academy Street who lost her battle with cancer in 2011. As a result of their fundraising efforts, the team raised over $8,500 for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

This is the fourth consecutive year the team has participated in the event.
