Boyd Kime, is being remembered in Sayville as federal teams work to recover remains from sunken Japanese POW "hellships." Kime grew up on Moscow (now Johnson) Avenue, attended Sayville High School, served in the Sayville Fire Department, and was honored locally in 1998. His story, recently resurfacing alongside national recovery efforts, highlights Sayville's sacrifice and connection to the war's lingering losses.
