Bar Employees Robbed At Gunpoint While Leaving Work: PD

OAKDALE, NY - Two employees of an Oakdale bar were robbed by a duo this past weekend, according to Suffolk Police.

The robbery that took place on Saturday at Vanderbilts Wharf on 445 Vanderbilt Boulevard at 4:30 a.m.

The employees left the business when they were approached by two men who had what appeared to be handguns.

The robbers demanding jewelry and cash. The victims complied. The robbers also tried to access the safe before fleeing the scene.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
