Bayport-Blue Point Athletes to Take Game to College Level

Phantom pride was high as Bayport-Blue Point High School celebrated the academic and athletic achievements of 15 seniors who have elected to complete at the collegiate level next fall.

Surrounded by proud family members and coaches, the following Division III bound athletes were honored and praised for their commitment to their chosen sport and their scholastic skills. They are bound for some of the nation’s premier colleges and universities after graduation and the district is confidant they will continue to represent the community well.

Brianna Delzell – Adelphi University, Cross Country

Matt Doty – SUNY Oneonta, Wrestling

Lizzy Geoghan – LeMoyne College, Tennis

Nicole Geoghan – SUNY Brockport, Lacrosse

Matt Gilley – St. Joseph’s College, Tennis

Stephen Gruppuso – Oberlin College, Tennis

George Riefenstahl – SUNY Farmingdale, Basketball

George Ringer – Farmingdale State, Lacrosse

Julie Saliba – Johnson and Wales University, Softball

Emily Sena – SUNY Geneseo, Field Hockey

Eddie Sommerville – Hood College, Lacrosse
