Bayport-Blue Point High School Hosts 2019 Homecoming [PHOTOS]

BAYPORT-BLUE POINT, NY - Phantom Pride was on full display as Bayport-Blue Point School District residents of all ages joined together for the annual homecoming celebration on Sept. 21.

To begin the day’s festivities, the district hosted an induction ceremony at Bayport-Blue Point High School to recognize former athletes and athletic contributors whose names and pictures have been added to the school’s Hall of Fame.

Those added to the list include: coach Chris Burke, Jim Clark (’88), Kylie Cremer (’08), Christian Cremer (’10) and Bob Drzal (’65) for all of their successes and contributions to the athletic program.

A number of this year’s inductees into the Bayport-Blue Point High School Hall of Fame are pictured with several Bayport-Blue Point School District administrators.

Before the first game of the season against the Greenport/Southold/Mattituck football team, students, families and community residents lined the streets leading up to the high school to celebrate the annual homecoming parade.

As the student-athletes, cheerleaders, musicians and homecoming royalty made their way down the parade route, candy was tossed out of car windows for the younger students and roars of loud cheers for the home team rang out loud.

The Phantoms managed to secure a homecoming win, as they defeated the visitors by a final score of 57-0.

Students from the Bayport-Blue Point enjoyed the district’s homecoming celebration which took place on Sept. 21.

During the halftime ceremony, the junior class was named winner of the float contest with their excellent portrayal of the fall season, which was in line with this year’s theme of "Seasons of the Year."

In addition, seniors Dominic Bonifazio and Andrew Shiebler were named homecoming co-kings, while senior Megan Brockbank was named homecoming queen.

The Bayport-Blue Point High School Phantoms charged the field with the American flag at the start of the homecoming game against the Greenport/Southold/Mattituck team on Sept. 21.
