Bayport-Blue Point Honors December Teacher Of The Month

SAYVILLE-BAYPORT, NY - From Bayport-Blue Point School District: The Jan. 9 Bayport-Blue Point School District Board of Education meeting featured the naming of James Wilson Young Middle School Band Director Matthew Hurst as December’s Teacher of the Month for his unwavering commitment to education and admiring work ethic.

“Mr. Hurst is well-known for his patience, kindness and professionalism,” said Bayport-Blue Point School District Superintendent of Schools Dr. Timothy Hearney. “Through his expert instruction, he develops an avenue of expression for all students, including those with special needs.”
