Bayport-Blue Point School Budget Vote, Trustee Election Results Are In

Bayport-Blue Point residents gave the green light to a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $69.31 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,052-239. The budget is a 0.32 percent spending decrease over the current year and it comes with a 0.93 percent hike in the school tax levy.

Brian Johnson, Katherine Heinlein and Molly Licalzi were elected to the Bayport-Blue Point Board of Education.
