Bayport-Blue Point Students Connect Through Dance, Teamwork at Elementary Workshop
Second- and third-graders learned choreography, built confidence, and connected with high school mentors during a hands-on dance session.
BAYPORT, NY — The Bayport-Blue Point High School dance team brought energy, movement, and mentorship to Blue Point Elementary School, leading a lively workshop for second- and third-grade students during the school’s monthly social-emotional learning period.
The session allowed students to explore dance as one of several activity options designed to support creativity, collaboration, and personal growth.
Students began with across-the-floor warmups before learning a short, upbeat routine taught by members of the high school dance team. Along the way, they practiced coordination, built confidence, and worked together as a group.
