Bayport HS Students Open Fully Custom School Store Built From Scratch
Students design, produce, and sell customizable products in a hands-on retail space built from years of planning and collaboration.
BAYPORT, NY — Bayport-Blue Point High School celebrated the grand opening of its new brick-and- mortar school store, Phantom Outfitters, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 28.
The student-run store offers a unique, fully customizable shopping experience, featuring more than 50 student-designed prints that can be mixed, matched, and placed on items to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
Designed, produced and operated entirely by students with staff oversight, Phantom Outfitters showcases products created in-house. Students lead every aspect of the business,
from taking customer orders and managing inventory to manufacturing and sales, gaining valuable real-world experience in entrepreneurship.

Items, including spirit wear and wood-etched Long Island signs are produced by students in the school’s STEM lab based on customer requests.
The store has also partnered with the popular clothing brand "Comfrt" to offer a range of trendy apparel options.

Before opening its physical storefront, the Phantom Outfitters team built a strong following through its successful online store, hosting fundraisers for sports teams and other school groups. The store’s opening marked the culmination of years of planning and collaboration, resulting in a retail experience unlike any other on Long Island and beyond.
