The Bayport-Blue Point Varsity Boys Baseball squad will face off against Sayville's Golden Flashes today at 4 p.m. at the B-BP high school field in the winner's final bracket of playoff matchups.
This past Monday the Phantoms won their second-round playoff game against fourth seed Miller Place, by a score of 12-7.
Mike Alliegro sealed the win with a three-run home run that gave B-BP a 12-7 lead. Miller Place had scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning to pull within 9-7. Jack Piekos was 3 for 3 on the day.
The win set up today's match up against third-seed Sayville. The winner of today's game advances to the Class A Finals. The loser will play Saturday against the Loser's Bracket winner between Miller Place and John Glenn, for the rights to advance to the Class A Finals
