Car Hits Tree, Barely Misses Suffolk County Home, 2 Hurt
The crash occurred Sunday afternoon.
A car almost slammed into a Suffolk County home Sunday afternoon in a crash that sent two people to the hospital.
The Ronkonkoma Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with a reported "car into tree" on Patchogue Holbrook Road in Lake Ronkonkoma around 3 p.m. Chief Kevin Murray arrived to find the two occupants of the vehicle lying on the ground near the car.
The driver apparently lost control while heading south on Patchogue Holbrook Road, hitting a tree and just missing a house. Both people inside the car were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries via a Ronkonkoma Fire Department ambulance.
