Celebrating LI Seniors: Bayport-BP HS Senior Headed To Geneseo

BAYPORT—BLUE POINT, NY — Many senior students on Long Island were expecting to celebrate their final year with prom, graduation, and other milestone events. However, the coronavirus crisis has meant that dreams and long-awaited celebrations have been put on hold.

Patch would like to shine a light on these amazing young people and their accomplishments; a new series "Celebrate Your Senior," inviting proud parents and others to spotlight the young people whose accomplishments can't be derailed by the pandemic.

Patti Ogno nominated her daughter, Caroline Ogno, a senior at Bayport-Blue Point High School.

Here's what the proud parent had to say about Caroline:

Caroline is excited to head to Geneseo for Early Childhood Education. Caroline has been a member in high school band, Jr. Bayport Civic Association and an alumni of the Henrik Lundqvist foundation Young Ambassadors program and many other school clubs thru out her high school years.We are so proud of her! It hasn't been easy on anyone but the class of 2020 is missing so much, they all need to be recognized.
