In cooperation with the Bayport-Blue Point School District, the district’s Wellness Committee invites all community members to take part in a BBP-Biathlon scheduled for Saturday, April 6.
The event will feature a two-and-a-half-mile bike ride and a three-quarter-mile jog/walk. Participants are encouraged to ride their bikes to the event and are asked to arrive to the high school auditorium, 200 Snedecor Ave., Bayport, at 7:45 a.m. The event will officially kick off at 8:15 a.m. A registration form for the event is posted to the district website, www.bbpschools.org.
For an optional $5 registration fee, attendees can purchase a commemorative t-shirt designed by Blue Point Elementary School fifth-grader Morgan Woolley and Sylvan Avenue Elementary School fourth-grader Jennifer Prescott. These two students were selected as winners of the Wellness Committee’s t-shirt design contest, to which more than 75 entries were made by district elementary students.
