Bayport and Blue Point are probably best known for clams and oysters or the Hardy Boys. Less well known is that fact that this small Long Island bayside town produced some impressive fine artists in the 1970s and 80s. Among these are Michael Brewer, Irene Lap Banse and Pam Varacek, who will be exhibiting their artwork for one evening only at the Grey Horse Tavern in Bayport on May 18th.
Three artists with shared roots in Bayport, but who work in very different styles, techniques and media. Yet, could there be a common element shared by all three artists, shaped and molded by the Bayport roots? Judge for yourself at their one-evening-only exhibition on May 18th, upstairs at Bayport’s renowned Grey Horse Tavern.
Irene Lap Banse, Michael Brewer and Pamela Varacek will all be present at the exhibit and some of their works will be for sale. A great opportunity to experience the “Baypartists” in person and to see some of their latest work.
The exhibition will be open from 6:00 to 10:00 pm on May 18, 2013 only. Upstairs at Grey Horse Tavern, 291 Bayport Ave, Bayport N.Y. 11705 • 631-472-1868
