Bayard Cutting Arboretum, Upper Carriage House Saturday, Apr. 23 2016 at 10:00 -11:30 am

Herbs like basil, spearmint, thyme and cilantro, and others add fabulous flavor to meals and drinks! Don’t pay high supermarket prices for fresh herbs. Make meals taste better with herbs you’ve grown in your own garden. In this workshop, we’ll cover various annual, perennial, and biennial herbs that can be easily grown in a Long Island home garden and brought to the table. The discussion will include growth requirements and habits, uses in different cuisines and storage. And, you’ll be receiving herb seedlings and seeds to start your own garden collection! Members $10, Non-members: $15
