Frost Advisory Issued For Suffolk County

Yup, it's that time of year. But there's a brief warmup coming. We'll let you know when.

The first frost advisory of the season has been issued for Suffolk County. It's in effect from midnight until 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will be in the mid-30s overnight across most of the county but may fall into the mid-20s in the Pine Barrens region, the NWS says. Sensitive outdoor plants should be protected.

For trick-or-treaters, the rest of Halloween will be sunny, but brisk, with the temperature topping out in the low-50s.
