Homeless Man Charged in Sayville Bank Robbery
BREAKING: The arrest was made on Monday, police say.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on Monday for robbing a bank in Sayville last month, Suffolk Police said.
William Campanaro, who is homeless, is charged with third degree robbery.
According to police, Campanaro entered the TD Bank located at 188 North Main St. around 4:20 p.m. on Nov. 17 and passed the teller a note that demanded money. The teller complied with the Campanaro's demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police said.

Campanaro will be arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
