Jeep Narrowly Misses Suffolk 7-Eleven Employee After Drugged Driver Crashes Through Store: Cops

BREAKING: A 21-year-old man was high on drugs at the time of the crash, police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY – A 21-year-old man was high on drugs when he crashed his Jeep through a Suffolk County 7-Eleven early Friday, police said.

According to police, Dylan Iorio, of Ronkonkoma, drove his Jeep through the window of the 7-Eleven located at 286 W. Roe Boulevard in Patchogue at about 1 a.m.

A store clerk was in close proximity to the crash, but was not injured, police said.

Iorio was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs (police did not say which drug), second degree reckless endangerment and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Iorio was being held at the Fifth Precinct and will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Central Islip today.
