LONG ISLAND LEGISLATORS WIN SIXTH ANNUAL "LEGISLATORS' CHALLENGE AT YONKERS RACEWAY

Yonkers, NY -- The winning politicians-turned harness drivers in the Long Island-dominated Sixth Annual Legislators Pace on October 11th at Yonkers Raceway at Yonkers Raceway were:

Sen.‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Martin Malave Dilan, ‎District 18, Brooklyn, captured the first division behind Critical Acclaim, in 2:13:3 for the mile, with the assist from top driver Jason Bartlett in the double-sulky. Then the Long Islanders took over: Andrew Garborino, District 7, Bayport, LI, had the reins behind ‎Sarno for a wire to wire victory, in an identical 2:13:3, also with Bartlett; finally Sen. Phil Boyle, Bayshore District 4, took the third division in 2:11:3, the evening’s swiftest heat, ‎driving Show Me Up ‎‎ to the winner’s circle with Jordan Stratton getting the assist.‎ The Fall Harvest Festival at Empire City Casino winner’s circle presentations were made by president Timothy J. Rooney.
