Long Island Woman Drove Drunk To Upstate Home: Police
Police say they responded to a disturbance at an upstate home and found the 63-year-old woman engaged in a "verbal and physical argument."
State Police say a Long Island woman had a blood-alcohol content of .22, nearly three times the legal limit, when she drove to an upstate home and engaged in a "verbal and physical argument."
Mara L. Benoit, 63, is charged with aggravated DWI, which is a felony.
According to police, troopers were dispatched to a home in Saint Johnsville after a call reporting a "disturbance."

An investigation on the scene revealed that Benoit had engaged in a fight with someone after driving to the residence in an intoxicated state, police said Monday.
Benoit has been arraigned and remanded to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of cash bail.
