Long Island's South Shore Environment During the Gilded Age

The library will hold a special presentation on Wednesday, May 18 from 7:00-8:30pm. Join Dowling College Librar Diane Holliday as she discusses the abundance of life found in the Long Island South Shore environment. The effect this biodiversity had on the development of estates and industries as well as the positive and negative effects of human interaction with the ecosystem will be explored.
