Man Killed, Struck By 3 Cars While Crossing Service Road: PD
A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning, after he was struck by 3 cars, police say.
SAYVILLE, NY — A man died after he was struck by three cars while crossing a Sunrise Highway service road early Sunday morning, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, a man was in the eastbound roadway, west of Lincoln Avenue in Sayville, at about 12:25 a.m., when he was struck by three motor vehicles.
The man was first struck by a 2010 Toyota Camry, followed by a 2018 Toyota RAV 4, and then by a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck, police said.

The man, who has not yet been identified by police, was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead, police said. The drivers of the cars were not inured, police said.
The three vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
