Massive Fire Breaks Out On Fire Island
Firefighters from 10 fire departments responded to battle the blaze Monday morning, reports say.

FIRE ISLAND, NY - A large fire was reported on Fire Island on Monday morning.
Suffolk Police said the blaze broke out on Fire Island Boulevard in Fire Island Pines.
Newsday reports that 10 local fire departments responded to battle the fire at about 8 a.m. including the Fire Island Pines, Fair Harbor, Saltaire, Ocean Beach, Kismet, Davis Park, Cherry Grove, West Sayville, Sayville and Bayport departments.

A photo from the scene shows smoke could be seen from across the Great South Bay in Sayville.
No further information was immediately available. It is still unknown if any injuries were reported.
