Movie Theater Customer, Employee Engage In Physical Altercation: PD

The altercation occurred right outside of the Sayville movie theater on Saturday and a witness tried to intervene, police say.

SAYVILLE, NY —Suffolk County police are currently investigating a physical altercation that involved a customer and an employee of Sayville Cinemas on Saturday, authorities said.

According to police, the incident occurred outside the theater, which is located at 103 Railroad Ave. in Sayville, at about 9:40 p.m.

A witness attempted to intervene, police said. Both the employee and witness both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The employee took to social media this weekend, describing the incident while attaching a photo of the man. The theater also posted on its Facebook page on Monday, thanking the community for their support.

No arrests have been made at this time, police said.
