WHAT: DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
WHEN: Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
WHERE: Community Ambulance Company
420 Lakeland Avenue, Sayville, NY 11782
This event provides a safe, convenient, and anonymous opportunity for residents to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications, helping prevent misuse, accidental poisoning, and environmental harm.
Attendees will also have access to:
<ul><li>Safe disposal of medications, including capped needles and injectable medications</li><li>Free Narcan training and Hands-Only CPR instruction</li><li>Educational resources on substance use prevention, counseling, and community support services</li></ul>
Local elected officials and community partners will be in attendance.
Unused prescription drugs too often fall into the wrong hands, contributing to addiction and overdose. This initiative aims to protect public health by offering a responsible disposal option while educating the community.
