Phantom Pride at Bayport-Blue Point Homecoming, Football Team Moves Record to 5-1

Football team defeats Center Moriches 50-14 on Saturday.

Community sprit and pride were on full display as the varsity football team dominated the competition during this year’s Bayport-Blue Point High School homecoming celebration on Saturday.

The traditional homecoming parade, which began at Blue Point Elementary School and ended at the entrance to the high school football field, was attended by community members of all ages. The event featured student musicians from the district’s elementary and secondary schools along with floats created by the high school grade levels, cheerleaders and candidates for homecoming queen.

At halftime of the football game, Hannah Giannico was crowded this year’s queen and the senior class was named the winner of the float contest with their entry based on the Disney/Pixar movie “Up.” Patrick Liu was crowned this year’s king during the homecoming dance.
