Police: Man Arrested After Fleeing Police, Crashing Car
Tyquon Gregory faces numerous charges.

When police attempted to pull over Tyquon Gregory for talking on his cellphone Saturday, Gregory fled the scene and soon crashed his car into a guard rail and an 18-wheeler, police said.
The drama began in Brentwood when Third Precinct Officer Christopher Anskat attempted to pull over Gregory, who was driving a 2013 Infinity, on the Sunrise Highway service road in Brentwood.
Gregory, 22, fled and a short time later struck the guard rail and the 18-wheeler on eastbound Sunrise Highway in Oakdale, police said.

Gregory, of North Bellport, left his vehicle and fled on foot, but he was arrested in the woods a short time later at about 12:15 p.m., police said.
Gregory was charged with DWI-drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, three warrants, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, unlawful fleeing and leaving the scene of an accident.

Gregory was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore as a precaution. HeĀ will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.Ā
