Remembering Gil Bergen of Connetquot State Park
One of the last ties to the South Side Sportsmen's Club
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Gil Bergen, long-time superintendent and mainstay of the Connetquot River State Park Preserve in Oakdale.
In honor of his memory and his commitment to the preservation of Long Island's natural landscapes, we're reposting an interview Gil gave back in 2007 with Chris Kretz, Rhoda McManus, and Sallie Kachell.
