Reward Offered: Police Seek Man Who Stole Purses Valued at More Than $2,600

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man pictured above who is suspected of stealing handbags from a Selden store earlier this month.

Police say a man entered TJ Maxx, located at 323 Middle Country Road, and stole 14 Michael Kors pocketbooks and fled the store on Nov. 3 at about 1:10 p.m.

The purses have a value of more than $2,600, police said. The man left the parking lot in an older model, dark blue Jeep Cherokee. A witness provided a partial New York State plate of FFJ 7.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
