Saluting an Eagle in B-BP

Bayport-Blue Point High School ninth-grader Dan Milazzo, a dedicated member of the local Troup 329, has become the youngest member of his troop to earned the top rank in the Boy Scouts – the rank of Eagle Scout.

For this honor, Dan was required to earn at least 21 merit badges and complete an extensive service project. For his project, Dan fundraised for and installed 117 fiberglass hydrant markers along several Bayport streets running from Railroad Ave to the Great South Bay. As a junior volunteer with the Bayport Fire Department, Dan was proud that his project served to help two of his personal interests.
