Sayville Fall Fest: What You Need To Know

SAYVILLE, NY - The highly-anticipated Sayville Fall Fest is set for this weekend.

The event, which draws thousands every year, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sayville's Main Street.

The fun-filled day will include a Halloween parade, a pie baking contest, a carved pumpkin contest, craft and food vendors, a firehouse safety trailer, a scarecrow contest and live music.

Here's what you need to know before the big event:

• The parade is will start to line up at 10:45 a.m. on the corner of Greene Avenue and Main Street to begin at 11 a.m.
• All entries for the pie baking contest must be submitted at The Sayville Chocolatier on 6 Main Street by 12 p.m. Judging will begin at 2 p.m. and the winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
• Scarecrow contest entries must be submitted at JD Chandlery on 66 Main Street by 1 p.m. Judging will begin at 2:30 p.m. and winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m.
• Submit carved Pumpkins for the contest in front of Island Salt and Spa on 55 Main Street by 1 p.m. Judging will begin at 3 p.m. and winners will be announced at 4 p.m.
• Live music at the Candee Avenue stage: Jacks Waterfall from 11 a.m to 12 p.m., Ann O’Rourke from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Beacon from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Bakithi Kumalo from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Cassandra House from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Kerry Kearney from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Live performances at the Chase Bank Stage: Library Kids Zone w/Miss Donna from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Halloween music for the parade at 11 a.m., and South Bay Arts Kids Featuring Jack Licitra & Local Youth Artists from 11:15 a.m./11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
