Sayville High School Presents "Something Rotten!"

Vincent Fontanetta and Jake Campbell Star as Two Writers in the time of Shakespeare

Sayville High School recently presented a production of Something Rotten! over a three-night engagement. The performances took place from March 20 through March 22.

Something Rotten!—written by Wayne Kirkpatrick, Karey Kirkpatrick, and John O’Farrell—debuted on Broadway in 2015. Sayville High School presented the show through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. The musical comedy is set in 1595 and follows Nick and Nigel Bottom, brothers who are attempting to write the world’s first musical while stuck in the shadow of William Shakespeare.

The Sayville production, which was directed by Denise Baio, starred Vincent Fontanetta as Nick Bottom and Jake Campbell as Nigel Bottom. The cast also featured Porter Fox as Shakespeare, Scarlett Reilly as Nostradamus, Grady Davis as Brother Jeremiah, Eliana Lee as Portia, Samara Lee as Bea, and Zachary Sanges as Lord Clapham.
