Sayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center's "Cooking with Sean" Offers Residents New Meal Choices

Offering new meal choices to residents

Sayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center residents have some new and exciting meals to look forward to on their menus. Recently, the facility’s talented chef, Sean Grabowski, who started with the Sayville Center in January of 2007, has been promoted to Food Service Supervisor and is making the dining experience more enjoyable for residents.

Since taking the job, Sean has collaborated with residents and the Recreation Department to create a new cooking demonstration and food tasting program. After receiving input from the residents, Sean and Cory Serviss, a dietary aide, prepared a delicious tasting of Swedish meatballs and buttered noodles with a side of string bean and carrot medley. To cap off the delicious meal, chocolate eclairs were prepared and served for dessert.

Residents enjoyed the program so much that Sayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has decided to add this dish to their regular menu. “Cooking with Sean” will be offered monthly to showcase some of the residents’ favorite recipes and their love for tasty food.
