The motorcyclist killed in a crash on Sunrise Highway in Sayville Sunday morning has been identified as a 48-year-old Bay Shore man. According to police, Maximilian Velazquez was riding a 2010 Victory motorcycle east on Sunrise Highway when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a guardrail between Johnson Avenue and Lincoln Avenue at about 10:15 a.m.Velazquez was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.Photo: Google Maps
