State Farm and Canary Thank Suffolk County First Responders

Protect the Protectors Provides First Responders with Free Canary Home Monitoring Devices

State Farm, the country’s largest insurer, and Canary, the fastest growing home security startup, brought their national Protect the Protectors campaign to Suffolk County on Monday, March 28.

Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay, III, Suffolk County Legislator Monica R. Martinez, Islip Town Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen and south shore State Farm agents, presented chiefs and first responders from Sayville, Bohemia, Bayport, Blue Point, Holbrook, Oakdale, Central Islip, and Brentwood with 500 free Canary home monitoring devices at the Community Ambulance Company in Sayville.

Protect the Protectors recognizes the contributions of first responders by providing home monitoring devices to those who put their lives on the line to keep communities safe. The program identifies communities of first responders across the country, and donates Canary home monitoring devices to police, fire and EMS professionals for use in their homes, providing these heroic men and women with peace of mind that their family and home is protected while they are out protecting their community.
