'Stating' Facts at Blue Point Elementary

The historical importance and key facts about each of the nation’s 50 states were on display at Blue Point Elementary School’s fifth-grade “state fair.”

Leading up to the annual event, the students researched their assigned state and created presentation boards describing the state’s unique identifiers, such as its seal, flag and bird, as well as its general climate and population. The project offered students a hands-on and in-depth approach to studying their researched state, as well as the other states in the nation.
